Alex Mellott is no stranger to the challenges of life. As a self-proclaimed entrepreneur, he made a name for himself by starting his own company at the age of just 17 years old. Starting in a high school back office, his company grew to become of the forefront providers of social media marketing in the state of Pennsylvania, attracting talents from all across the globe. His continuous strive to succeed encapsulates his vigorous support for young entrepreneurs.
From his time as a Pennsylvania DECA State Officer, he learned the values of business, community-oriented thinking, and integrity. During his term, he revolutionized communication for this non-profit organization and created a social culture that lasts today. As an international business case study finalist, Alex has presented business pitches to venture capitalists and industry experts and wowed them every step of the way!
Alex has had the opportunity to connect with fellow entrepreneurs at numerous marketing events across the country, including the ever-prestigious Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV. In his free time, Alex is the Vice President of Finance for The Lion 90.7fm, Penn State's Student Radio station. Airing a top-40 trending music show weekdays from 11am-1pm, Alex focuses on the music and topics that matter to students. His radio show is consistently ranked one of the most popular shows by listeners of The Lion.
As a student at The Pennsylvania State University, Alex is currently studying Security & Risk Analysis with plans to minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
